What is JSA?

 

Japanese Students Association (日本人学生会　in Japanese).

JSA is a students association in UAlbany which contributes to spread Japanese culture in Albany.

How much does the membership cost?

 

$5- a year!!! It is very reasonable :)

What can you expect in JSA's events?

 

JSA has a lot of events annually. We has Japan cafe whom the participants can learn & use Japanese with Japanese students. Also, we has a Japanese movie night.

JSA sometimes holds special events or workshops which allow the members to learn Japanese cultures.

How many students do join JSA as the member?

 

JSA is administered by E-Board members consisting of 8 UAlbany students, and more than 50 students constantly register to JSA.

Do I need to speak Japanese? 

 

If you cannot speak Japanese, and you just interested in a Japanese culture,

It is totally fine !! JSA is not a Japanese class, and we want to provide you to touch a sense of Japanese. But if you are interested in learning Japanese, of course, we will support you :D
